## QA Engineer — Blockstream Blockstream is building fundamental Bitcoin infrastructure and a full stack of products on top of the Bitcoin protocol. As a **QA Engineer**, you’ll design, implement, and execute test strategies to ensure the stability and performance of Bitcoin and blockchain-based applications. --- ### What you will be doing (Responsibilities) - Develop and execute **test plans, test cases, and test scripts** for blockchain-based applications and APIs - Design, implement, and maintain **automated testing frameworks** for functional, performance, and security testing - Conduct **manual and automated testing** of transactions, wallets, payment systems, and decentralized applications - **Identify, document, and track defects** using tools like **Jira** or **GitHub** - Collaborate with developers on **feature reviews** and ensure new features are testable - Perform **security testing** to detect vulnerabilities - Work with **DevOps** to integrate testing into **CI/CD pipelines** and optimize execution in cloud environments - Run **regression testing** and maintain a robust automated test suite - Research and implement QA practices for **blockchain and fintech** --- ### What we look for in you (Required Qualifications) - **2+ years** in software quality assurance (fintech, blockchain, or security-focused preferred) - Proficiency with **automation testing frameworks** - Strong understanding of **Bitcoin and blockchain technology** - Experience with **API testing tools** - Knowledge of **scripting languages** - Understanding of **security testing methodologies** (e.g., penetration testing, vulnerability assessments) - Experience with **performance testing tools** - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a **fast-paced, remote-first** environment - Excellent **communication** and **documentation** skills --- ### Scam safety (important) All official Blockstream communication will come from an **@blockstream.com** email address.
