## Blockstream — Software Engineer (Enterprise Custody) Blockstream is building fundamental Bitcoin infrastructure and enterprise-grade solutions on top of the Bitcoin protocol. The Enterprise Custody team is looking for Software Engineers to design and maintain scalable end-to-end systems that power APIs and SDKs. --- ### What you’ll be doing - Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end systems that serve **APIs and SDKs** - Build full-stack solutions, from **database architecture** to **cloud-based deployment** - Optimize **performance** and **security** for high-availability applications - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (front-end, product, hardware) - Apply best practices including **CI/CD**, **automated testing**, and **code reviews** - Research and integrate emerging technologies to improve security and efficiency - Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in a fast-paced environment - Mentor junior developers and support knowledge sharing --- ### What we’re looking for (Required) - **5+ years** of full-stack development experience, with a focus on **backend** - Proficiency with backend technologies such as **C++**, **Python**, **Rust**, **Node.js** - Strong experience designing and building **RESTful APIs** and **SDKs** - Hands-on experience with **AWS, Azure, or GCP** and **Docker/Kubernetes** - Deep understanding of databases: **SQL** (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and **NoSQL** (MongoDB/Redis) - Familiarity with authentication/security best practices: **OAuth, JWT, encryption, access control** - Experience with **CI/CD**, automated testing, and DevOps tools - Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in a team - Excellent communication skills (including explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders) --- ### Nice to have - Experience with **Bitcoin**, blockchain, or **cryptography** - Open-source development experience - Bachelor’s/Master’s in CS/Engineering (or equivalent experience) - Experience with **system/software architecture** --- ### 🔒 Job scam safety All official Blockstream communication will come from an **@blockstream.com** email address.
