Backed by tier-1 investors with proven founder track record. **The Role** Key engineering leader driving technical strategy and execution. Partner with CTO to scale engineering organization, build high-performing teams, and ensure platform quality, reliability, and speed. Balance strategic vision with hands-on technical depth in a hypergrowth startup. **Key Responsibilities** • Set and drive technical roadmap with CTO • Own execution across multiple engineering teams • Execute critical architecture and technology decisions • Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent • Build engineering manager and senior technical leader bench • Establish career ladders, performance frameworks, and growth paths • Foster engineering culture of ownership, craftsmanship, and speed • Implement and improve engineering processes (agile, code review, CI/CD, testing, incident management) • Own platform reliability, security, and performance at scale • Drive metrics and reporting on engineering velocity and health • Solve complex technical and organizational problems **Requirements** • 8+ years software engineering; 4+ years engineering leadership • Proven track record scaling teams at high-growth tech companies • Deep expertise in modern software architecture, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure • Experience managing engineering managers and building leadership benches • Strong shipping record on complex software products • Excellent communication and executive/Board presentation skills • Hands-on technical credibility with ability to dive into code and architecture • Experience with enterprise-grade security, compliance, and reliability **Preferred** • AI/ML or developer tools company experience • Autonomous systems, agentic AI, or large-scale code generation background • Scaling engineering orgs through hypergrowth (Series A to Series C+) • MBA or equivalent business acumen **Compensation** $280,000 - $375,000 + Bonus + Equity *Equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.*
