You’ll work closely with our **CTO** across current and future product development, and directly with the founding team to inform decisions across **product, technology, and strategy**. You’ll help build the foundation of the company—its culture, processes, and practices. If you’re curious, driven, kind, and creative, you’ll likely be a great culture fit. ## Responsibilities - Write, review, and ship production code that drives meaningful customer and business outcomes. - Use **Generative AI** tools daily to improve quality, speed, and effectiveness of technical and non-technical work. - Take ownership of the software you build—ensuring it delivers value in production and remains reliable and maintainable. - Evaluate and drive technical decisions with a long-term perspective (balancing speed, quality, security, and scalability). - Troubleshoot and resolve complex production challenges; serve as a trusted technical resource. - Learn and adapt quickly to unfamiliar technologies, codebases, and domains using first-principles thinking. - Create technical champions via demos, prototypes, examples, and technical content. - Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, sales leaders, and other stakeholders in an in-person environment. - Communicate openly, share decision rationale, and actively seek feedback. - Champion improvements across the enterprise software development lifecycle (build, deploy, and operate). - Operate independently with accountability and a willingness to go the extra mile. ## Qualifications - Direct experience with **Python, Terraform, and AWS** (required) - Proficiency with backend frameworks/technologies such as **Node.js, NuxtJS, Express.js, or Python** - Experience with cloud platforms including **AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or Vercel** - Strong knowledge of **Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C++, or Go** - Hands-on knowledge of **RPC** and API architectures: **REST, gRPC, GraphQL** - Experience with **relational and NoSQL** databases: **SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Firebase** - Familiarity with **CI/CD** tools: **Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab**, or similar - Experience with source control: **Git** or **Perforce** - Knowledge of **microservices** and distributed application design - Familiarity with AI platforms: **OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, Vertex AI, Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker** - Demonstrated ability to build and scale enterprise-grade applications with **99%+ serv
