Anduril’s systems are powered by **Lattice OS**, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center. **About the Team** The **Maneuver Dominance** team is building **Thunder**, an autonomous attack rotorcraft designed to fight alongside crewed combat aviation to deliver overwhelming mass effects deep beyond the front lines. The London team builds the **Mission System** and the autonomy that makes aircraft like Thunder work. **About the Job** Anduril is seeking a **Senior Robotics Software Engineer** to join the **Thunder Team** at the **Costa Mesa HQ**. You’ll solve problems across **networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, perception**, and more—making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs to ensure Anduril products work together to achieve critical outcomes. --- ### What You’ll Do - Own mission autonomy **systems and services** deployed to customers. - Write code to improve products and scale mission capability to more customers. - Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality. - Create and analyze **metrics** for debugging and monitoring. - Triage issues, root cause failures, and coordinate next steps. - Partner with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing UX and engineering constraints. - Travel **up to 25%** to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world. --- ### JD/Intake: Robotics SWE (Thunder) - Strong engineering background (industry or school), ideally in **Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics**. - **7+ years** professional experience working with **C++ or Rust**. - Experience building software solutions involving significant **data processing and analysis**. - Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases. - Desire to work on critical software with real-world impact. - Willingness to travel **up to 25%** for testing and demonstrations. - **Active Secret Clearance Required**. --- ### Preferred Requirements - Strong background in **Physics, Mathematics, and/or Motion Planning** to inform modeling & simulation (M&S) and physical systems. - Experience developing/testing **multi-agent autonomous systems** and deploying in real-world environments. - Feature/algorithm development with understanding of **behavior trees**. - Experience developing software/hardware for **flight systems** and safety-critical functionality. --- ### Compensation & Benefits - **US Salary Range:** **$220,000 — $292,000 USD** (base salary estimate) - Highly competitive equity grants are included in most full-time offers. - Top-tier benefits for full-time employees (health, recovery, and more). --- ### Notes (Recruitment Scams & Privacy) - Anduril will **never** solicit payment or demand sensitive personal financial details during hiring. - For candidate privacy details, see: https://anduril.com/applicant-privacy-notice/
