**Orbital Analyst — Space Ground Systems (Anduril Industries)** **About the role** Support day-to-day space ground systems operations, including technical support for observatory operations, configuring edge compute capabilities (Windows/Linux), and assisting with satellite tracking data analysis. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the Anduril space object catalog and derived products. This is a hands-on operations and analysis position focused on **catalog maintenance, data curation, and quality assurance**. Success requires attention to detail, disciplined processes, and clear communication with fellow analysts and across the business line. **Team**: Contributor on a **24/7** operations team. --- **What you’ll do** - Contribute to monitoring and analysis of global telescope network operations - Identify knowledge articles and SOPs for network operations - Triage issues, root cause failures, and coordinate next steps - Create and analyze metrics used for debugging and monitoring - Contribute to software solutions to increase efficiency - Partner with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints --- **Required qualifications** - Engineering background (industry or school), ideally in **Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics** - Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and detailed requirements - Capable of solving complex technical problems with little oversight - Clear communication and organizational skills, including documentation and training materials - Comfortable working in monitoring/operations environments with possible **shift, on-call, and/or extended hours** - Eligible to obtain and maintain an active **U.S. Secret security clearance** --- **Preferred qualifications** - Experience with **orbital mechanics** and satellite orbit regimes - Familiarity with space domain awareness concepts, space object catalogs, and/or conjunction/maneuver analysis - Exposure to telescope or other phenomenology observation data - **3+ years** working with programming languages such as **Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript**, etc. - Desire to work on critical software in the space domain - Prepared to discuss shift availability for a **24/7** team --- **Compensation (US Salary Range)** - **$86,000 — $114,000 USD** (base salary estimate) --- **Notes** Anduril is committed to protecting candidates from recruitment scams.
