**Senior Data Science Manager, Developer Platform** **About the Role** Discord is seeking a Senior Data Science Manager to lead Data Science for the Developer Platform—the SDKs, identity systems, and developer tools that connect games and their players to Discord. You'll manage a mission-driven team of Data Scientists and own the vision for data-driven decision-making across the platform. **Key Responsibilities** • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Data Scientists across identity, signals, and developer tools • Own the vision and roadmap for data-driven decision-making across Developer Platform • Shape developer-facing data products, including metric definitions and benchmarking methodologies • Partner with Ads, Engagement, and Growth to identify and validate platform-derived signals • Drive platform adoption by measuring integration health and forecasting growth • Serve as analytical partner to top game developers on joint studies • Partner on data governance to ensure signals are documented and well-governed • Set clear priorities and build a team known for rigorous methods and decision-ready work **Required Qualifications** • 8+ years in applied data science and advanced analytics (consumer product + B2B/platform experience preferred) • 3+ years managing and developing Data Science teams • Strong expertise in experimentation and causal inference (propensity matching, synthetic controls, diff-in-diff) • Experience designing novel metrics for fast-evolving product areas • Proficiency in SQL and Python or R • Clear communication and influence across executives, engineers, and external partners **Bonus Skills** • Gaming, game platforms, or B2B2C product experience • Customer-facing data products (dashboards, benchmarking tools) • Advertising signal ecosystems and ML applications • Cloud data platforms (BigQuery) and BI tools (Hex, Mode, Looker, Tableau) • Data governance, privacy, and responsible data use • Interest in Discord and gaming communities **Compensation** US base salary: $342,000–$380,000 + equity + benefits **Why Discord?** Discord is a multiplatform community where gamers deepen friendships and developers build their businesses.
