## About ActAI ActAI is building proactive applications for the 5B+ people using everyday apps (email, notes, tasks, calendar) who aren’t AI-native. The mission: bring intelligence to conversations, errands, organizing, and workflows—with minimal to no prompting. The product emphasizes: - High reliability for long-running workflows - Persistent context - Real-world task completion - Reducing hallucinations --- ## Role: Frontend Engineer As a Web Frontend Engineer, you’ll build the core web experiences, including **Chat, Notes, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets**. You’ll own complex, highly interactive product surfaces—from architecture through implementation—working closely with **product, design, backend, and AI engineers** to make AI a native part of how users communicate, write, organize, and work. --- ## What you’ll own - Build major web experiences across **Chat, Notes, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets** - Develop complex interactions: **real-time messaging, collaborative editing, rich-text editing, scheduling, tables, and spreadsheets** - Create reusable frontend architecture and components across ActAI applications - Integrate **streaming AI responses**, proactive actions, and model-driven experiences into product workflows - Own **performance, responsiveness, reliability, and accessibility** across browsers and devices - Partner with product and design to move from prototype to production quickly --- ## What we’re looking for - Strong experience building complex, production web apps with **React, TypeScript**, and modern frontend technologies - Deep understanding of **frontend architecture, state management, browser APIs, and performance** - Experience building highly interactive products (e.g., **chat, collaboration, productivity, document editing, calendars, workspaces**) - Experience with **real-time systems** (WebSockets, streaming APIs, collaborative interfaces) - Strong product/UI judgment and attention to interaction details - Ability to independently own features from technical design through production --- ## Outcomes - Users can communicate, write, organize, and collaborate seamlessly across Chat, Notes, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets - Complex interactions (group messaging, editing, scheduling, collaboration) feel fast and reliable - AI capabilities are integrated naturally into workflows (not as a separate chatbot) - Frontend architecture stays fast, maintainable, and reusable as ActAI expands --- ## Tech stack - **TypeScript** - **React.js / Next.js** - **HTML / CSS** - **WebSockets / streaming APIs** - **Node.js** - **REST / GraphQL APIs** --- ## How we work Small, world-class teams with high talent density.
