## Technical Product Lead — AI Stockbroking ### About BJAK BJAK’s mission is to help people get more from their money every day. Since 2019, we’ve built a mobile-first insurance platform that’s now the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia. We’re expanding into smarter ways to plan, save, invest, exchange, travel, and more—powered by teams across the world. ### The Role BJAK is building an **AI Stockbroking Superapp for Southeast Asia**, spanning **payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading**—where products move real money. Reliability, regulatory requirements, and third-party financial rails are core to how we build. As **Technical Product Lead**, you’ll own a **product vertical end-to-end**—from strategy and outcomes to technical design, delivery, and launch. We’re **AI-native by default**, but AI is a means, not the goal: the bar is knowing where AI genuinely improves outcomes while keeping deterministic systems in control. ### What You’ll Own - Own a product vertical end-to-end: **strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery** - Shape technical design with engineering across **APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability** - Drive trade-offs across **correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and UX** - Build regulatory requirements into the product across **KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing** - Apply AI where it improves outcomes with **evaluation, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling** - Ship products across external dependencies including **regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners** - Align **Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance** around clear product decisions and launch requirements ### What We’re Looking For - **5+ years** of product management experience owning complex technical products (strategy → production) - Strong technical foundation: **system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, distributed systems** - Experience working closely with engineers; able to **review, challenge, and contribute** to technical designs - Experience in **payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading**, or another regulated, high-consequence domain - Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under **technical, regulatory, and operational constraints** - Experience building with **LLMs / AI products**: evaluation, reliability, and knowing when AI should *not* be used ### Nice to Have - Engineering or highly technical product background - Experience building **zero-to-one fintech** or consumer products - Experience defining **evaluation frameworks** for ML/LLM-powered products ### Outcomes - Clear vertical strategy and a legible roadmap - Ships fast and clears the gates that block launch - Money is correct; users are never misled about the state of their funds - AI features are valuable, predictable, and trusted - Trade-offs made deliberately under uncertainty and hold up when challenged - Engineering, design, compliance, and operations aligned with minimal friction ### Location & Language - **Remote role** (global hiring across multiple countries/time zones) - **English required** (strong communication) ### Interview Process 1.
