**Lead Engineer - United States** **About DoIT** Reinventing how people spend, save, invest, exchange, travel, and more. Building AI-powered financial tools that are smart, accessible, and safe. Teams across 20+ nationalities working globally and remotely. **The Role** Hands-on technical leadership position. Design systems, write and review code, solve complex engineering problems, guide engineers, and drive major initiatives from idea to production. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead technical design and execution of major products and features • Design scalable, reliable, maintainable systems (backend, frontend, APIs, databases, infrastructure) • Stay hands-on with coding, prototyping, code reviews, and production problem-solving • Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability • Set high standards for code quality, testing, security, and reliability • Mentor engineers and strengthen technical capability across the team • Work closely with engineering, product, design, and AI teams • Improve engineering tooling and development practices • Own systems in production—monitor, investigate incidents, resolve root causes **What We're Looking For** • Strong software engineering background with production systems experience • Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure • Excellent system design and architecture skills • Strong coding ability and willingness to remain hands-on • Proven experience leading major projects or providing technical leadership • Comfortable with code reviews, debugging, and production systems • Strong product sense and ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes • Ability to work fast with ambiguity and take ownership end-to-end **Location** Remote (global, distributed team) **Requirements** Strong English communication required **Interview Process** 1.
