**Member of Technical Staff, Machine Learning** **About ActAI** Building proactive, AI-native applications for billions of users. Focus on high reliability, persistent context, and real-world task completion. **The Role** Build core ML components in production systems from day one. Develop strong systems judgment through shipping, debugging, and iterating on real-world ML. **Key Responsibilities** • Build and improve ML components (data, training, evaluation, inference) • Fine-tune and adapt models in production systems • Implement evaluation and testing for model behavior • Build and maintain data pipelines (real-world and synthetic) • Debug model issues and production incidents • Ship improvements iteratively based on user feedback • Collaborate with senior ML engineers and product teams • Work within production constraints: latency, cost, reliability, safety **Tech Stack** Python • PyTorch / JAX • Production ML on GPUs **Ideal Experience** • Strong ML foundations and modern neural architecture knowledge • Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning, or deploying models • Production-quality code and quick learning ability • Curious, coachable, eager to learn from real systems • Comfortable with ambiguity and growing ownership • Bias toward shipping and continuous improvement **Interview Process** 3-4 virtual and/or onsite interviews.
