Our mission: help people get more from their money every day. **The Role** Build core backend systems for BJAK's AI Finance Agent. Design reliable APIs, workflows, and financial infrastructure scaling across markets, partners, and millions of users. **What You'll Own** • Backend services, APIs and workflows for the AI Neobank app • Products: insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, travel, financial services • Systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications, operations • Customer-facing journeys with product and mobile teams • Third-party integrations: banks, payment gateways, insurers, data providers • System reliability, observability, security, and performance • Regulated financial product infrastructure **What We're Looking For** • 3+ years backend engineering experience • Strong APIs, databases, system design, production debugging • Scalable services and third-party system integration • Security, reliability, data quality, operational edge cases • Practical trade-offs between speed, quality, risk • Cross-functional collaboration (product, mobile, operations, business) • Fintech, payments, insurance, lending, banking, or regulated products experience (strong advantage) **The Builder We Want** • Real-world systems, not just diagrams • Thinks through edge cases, failure modes, operational impact • Moves fast without fragile foundations • Owns production issues and long-term reliability • Clear on personal ownership vs. team delivery **Location & Language** Remote, US-based candidates only.
