Join a collaborative, caring community where you’re empowered to grow through hands-on experience, certifications, and industry training. **Job Description** Accenture Federal Services is looking for a **Cloud Architect** to own the cloud architecture for the program. This role is scoped to one program and includes setting the technical direction for **Kubernetes**, **GitOps**, and **infrastructure-as-code** standards; leading the transition of legacy systems into **cloud-native, containerized architectures**; and ensuring **security is designed in from the start**. **What You’ll Own** - Architectural direction and standards for the program’s cloud environment across engineering teams - Cloud adoption and migration strategy (legacy → cloud-native, containerized architectures) - Decisions on infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration, GitOps workflows, and CI/CD tooling - Security and compliance embedded into the cloud architecture (RMF processes, vulnerability management, and controls such as identity, encryption, and incident response) - Alignment between architecture decisions and engineering teams—resolving tradeoffs before production issues - Best practices and governance for managing the program’s cloud environment(s) **What You’ll Deliver** - A documented cloud adoption and migration roadmap with clear sequencing for legacy-to-cloud-native transitions - A reference architecture and standards the engineering teams will actually adopt - A Kubernetes-based environment with GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines - Security control implementation that supports the program’s **ATO/RMF package** - A monitoring and observability approach for real visibility into cloud performance and health **Here’s What You Need** - **4+ years** hands-on experience in cloud environments (**AWS, Azure, or GCP**), including: - Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent) - Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) - Cloud security fundamentals (identity management, encryption, incident response) - At least **1 year** in an architecture or design-authority role - Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field, **or** 4+ years equivalent experience/certifications **Bonus Points If You Have** - Experience embedding **RMF processes** and vulnerability assessments into cloud infrastructure design - Platform engineering tooling experience (e.g., Crossplane, Backstage, Argo CD) - Experience designing multi-cloud or hybrid cloud service models and security best practices at scale - Monitoring/observability platforms (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog) - Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD) or a recognized cloud architect certification - Familiarity with National Security systems and air-gapped environments **Security Clearance** - **Active TS clearance required**; **SCI preferred** **Pay Range (Base)** - **$120,400 – $234,700 USD** (for the listed locations/states) *Accenture Federal Services accepts applications on an ongoing basis; there is no fixed deadline to apply.*
