**Director, Finance Systems & ERP** **About the Role** Lead the engineering organization responsible for Smartsheet's financial technology ecosystem. Define long-term technical strategy for platforms including NetSuite, Coupa, Planful, Stripe, ZoneBilling, and Metronome. Own architecture, engineering maturity, and delivery of systems supporting financial operations, procurement, planning, payments, billing, and revenue processes. **Key Responsibilities** • Own technical strategy and architecture for financial systems ecosystem across ERP, procurement, planning, payments, billing, and integrations • Lead and develop the Financial Systems Engineering organization • Serve as senior technology leader for NetSuite and ERP platform • Provide technology leadership for major Finance transformation programs including ERP modernization • Partner with Product Managers to translate strategy into technical roadmaps • Shape architecture for evolving SaaS monetization models (subscription, usage-based, consumption-based) • Establish architectural boundaries and systems of record across enterprise platforms • Define Finance systems data strategy including data models, quality, and lineage • Drive data quality and observability across Quote-to-Cash workflows • Establish AI strategy for Financial Systems Engineering • Develop automated testing and quality engineering strategy • Establish modern engineering practices across enterprise platforms • Own technical health and lifecycle of Financial Systems portfolio • Represent Financial Systems on executive steering committees • Build partnerships across Finance, Product Engineering, Data, and Security teams • Recruit and develop engineering talent **Required Experience** • 10+ years in financial systems, enterprise application engineering, ERP, or software engineering • 5+ years leading technical teams, including managing managers and senior engineers • Deep experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP platforms • Experience leading major ERP implementation or transformation programs • Strong understanding of financial business processes (record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, billing, revenue) • Experience with financial platforms (Coupa, Planful, Stripe, ZoneBilling, Metronome, Avalara) • Experience with SaaS billing and monetization architectures • Strong systems thinking across ERP, CRM, product, billing, data platforms, and financial controls • Demonstrated experience defining technical strategy and architecture • Experience designing enterprise data architecture and integrating with data platforms • Experience establishing modern engineering practices
