**Sr. Manager, Capacity Engineering** **About the Role:** Lead Pinterest's Capacity Engineering team, ensuring cloud infrastructure has the capacity it needs while operating reliably, efficiently, and with clear financial accountability. You'll oversee forecasting and supply, capacity-management systems, compute and GPU efficiency, infrastructure data and governance, and capacity operations. **What You'll Do:** • Lead the Capacity Engineering team and establish 12-18 month functional and technical strategy, roadmap and success measures • Develop CPU and GPU forecasts and supply plans accounting for workload demand, delivery constraints, cost and reliability • Guide design and delivery of capacity requests, reservations, entitlements, allocation policy and infrastructure-data systems • Improve utilization and efficiency across Kubernetes-based shared compute platforms, GPU infrastructure and cloud environments • Establish trusted metrics and operating practices for capacity risk, allocation, infrastructure cost and system health • Partner with Infrastructure, SRE, Finance, product and platform teams to make capacity and infrastructure-investment decisions • Plan team structure, recruit senior talent, develop technical leaders and sustain a high-performing team • Use AI to accelerate capacity analysis, forecasting and operational workflows **What We're Looking For:** • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience) • Experience managing teams building/operating large-scale cloud infrastructure, distributed systems or resource-management systems • Experience defining 12-18 month functional and technical strategy tied to organizational goals • Technical experience in public-cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, shared-compute platforms and capacity-management systems • Experience leading cross-functional infrastructure programs and communicating tradeoffs to stakeholders • Demonstrated ability to use AI effectively in day-to-day workflows • Strong track record of critical evaluation and verification of AI-assisted work • High integrity and ownership; accountability for final decisions and deliverables **Work Arrangement:** Remote-eligible; in-office collaboration 1-2 times/quarter.
