**Senior Engineer - Production Cloud and Container Services** **About the Role:** Join Fastly's Fleet Operations and Production Engineering team to scale and manage our Kubernetes-based platform for control plane services. You'll design, build, and operate infrastructure across multiple public clouds and Fastly datacenters, supporting rapid deployment and reliable operations at scale. **What You'll Do:** • Design and operate infrastructure (cloud, datacenter) for reliable, rapid deployment with effective monitoring • Diagnose and resolve performance/reliability issues across the full stack • Deploy and support complex 3rd party and internally developed applications • Write automation tools for server, service, and application maintenance • Collaborate across teams to evolve the platform using solid engineering practices • Drive projects independently and collaboratively across time zones • Manage operations in multi-cloud environments **What We're Looking For:** • 5+ years experience running high availability systems and distributed infrastructure • Deep Linux systems knowledge (tcpdump, tracing tools) • Production-grade Kubernetes experience across multiple regions/clouds (Prometheus, Flux, Helm) • Programming skills in Go and Python; ability to write custom controllers and tooling • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform) • Cloud provisioning experience (AWS, GCP, EC2, S3, GKE) • CI/CD and GitOps tooling expertise (GitHub) • Monitoring tools experience (Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana) • Distributed team collaboration experience • Experience leveraging AI tooling to accelerate work **Work Details:** • Core business hours + occasional on-call coverage (nights/weekends) • Preferred locations: San Francisco, Denver, or New York • Hybrid model with preference for office proximity; remote considered for US/UK/Canada **Compensation & Benefits:** • Salary: $181,220 - $217,464 (US) • Equity and discretionary bonus programs • Medical, dental, vision insurance • 401(k) with company match, ESPP • Flexible vacation, 18 days paid sick leave • 11 paid holidays, 12 wellness days • Mental health support and Employee Assistance Program **Apply at:** www.fastly.com/about/careers
