## Software Engineer Intern (AI / ML) — Spring 2027 ### About the role At Snowflake, we’re powering the era of the agentic enterprise. Your internship won’t just be execution—you’ll help redefine how work gets done by contributing to real systems used by customers. ### What we offer - Paid, full-time internships - Exposure to a fast-paced, fun, inclusive culture - Work with world-class experts on challenging projects - Meaningful contributions to a real customer-facing system - High access to supervisors (manager + mentor), detailed direction without micromanagement, feedback throughout, and a final evaluation - Treated as a member of the Snowflake team (included in meetings/activities) - Flexible hours, casual dress code, accommodations for working from home, swag - Catered lunches, access to gaming consoles, recreational games, happy hours, company outings, and more ### What we expect - Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college/university during the internship - **Desired class level:** Master’s or PhD - **Desired majors:** Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related field - **Recommended coursework:** AI, ML, Deep Learning, Federated Learning, efficient LLMs, Information Retrieval, Predictive & Generative Modeling, NLP, Differential Privacy, Cloud Computing, Distributed & Operating Systems - Research/publications in AI/ML/NLP/CV or major open-source contributions - **When:** Spring 2027 - **Eligible start dates:** Jan 4, 2027 or Jan 19, 2027 - **Eligible end dates:** Mar 26, 2027; Apr 9, 2027; or May 7, 2027 - **Duration:** 12–16 weeks recommended (more than 16 weeks encouraged; **12-month maximum**) - Excellent programming skills in **Python, Golang, and Java** - Preferred: **PyTorch** or **CUDA** - Experience working as part of a team - Dedication and passion for technology ### What you will learn / gain - **Engineering for Scale:** Build integrated, secure, scalable products for end-to-end ML workflows - **Agentic Workflows:** Agentic testing/iteration and managing complex workflows for SQL generation - **Evaluation & Trust:** Build evaluation loops to measure groundedness, reliability, and safety - **Multimodal Data Processing:** Apply AI operations to structured + unstructured data in a cloud database - **High-Performance Research:** Hardware performance optimization to improve LLM throughput ### Possible teams / work focus areas - **Applied AI:** Production-grade AI systems (agents, RAG pipelines, LLM integrations) - **ML Platform:** Feature stores, MLOps, and optimized runtimes for structured/unstructured data - **LLM Products & Snowflake Intelligence:** Governed-data reasoning and agent workflows/design prompts - **AI Migrations (Agents for Code):** Automate SQL code conversion and data migrations (Java/Go/LangGraph) - **Cortex Search, Analyst & Agents:** Low-latency fuzzy search, natural language business Q&A, custom agents - **Cortex AI in SQL:** Generative AI directly in database queries for multimodal data ### Security & confidentiality All employees are expected to follow Snowflake confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data, including keeping customer information secure and confidential. ### Apply / learn more For jobs located in the United States, please visit the Snowflake Careers Site for salary and be
