**Hardware Test Intern (Winter 2027)** **About Astranis** Astranis builds advanced satellites for high orbits. With five satellites on orbit and a backlog of over $1 billion in commercial contracts, we serve large enterprises, sovereign governments, and the US military. Headquartered in Northern California with 500+ engineers. **About This Internship** • 12-week hourly internship for currently enrolled university students • Work on meaningful projects—past interns have designed hardware/software launching to space • Many interns transition to full-time roles at Astranis **Role** • Design, write, and test software (embedded satellite software, ground control, and testing software) • Collaborate with the engineering team on challenging projects **Requirements** • Currently pursuing B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent • Experience with Python/C++ and scripting languages • Demonstrated ability to design, write, and test software from scratch • *Don't meet all requirements? Apply anyway!* **Bonus Skills** • Embedded systems on bare metal • Real-time operating systems • FPGA or DSP programming **Compensation** $29.00/hour **Requirements** U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required (space technology export compliance)
