## Software Engineer, Full Stack — Blissway ### About Blissway Blissway is a startup simplifying toll collection and improving highway safety. We’re multiple startups in one—Deep Tech, AI/ML, Hardware, SaaS, and IoT—with a lean team (under 30) and a growing impact across the Interstate Highway System. ### YOU ARE A GOOD FIT IF… - **You love the grind:** You take ownership, meet deadlines, and can handle occasional high-intensity release bursts (often ~55 hrs/week, with 70+ during major releases). - **You are detail obsessed:** You build systems that hold up to the unpredictability of the physical world—where small details make the difference. - **You are adaptable:** You’re comfortable helping across teams in a lean environment and figuring out what you need to get things done. - **You code really well:** You may be strongest in Python or TypeScript (or something else), but you learn fast and deliver. --- ## The Mission Build the platform that connects Blissway’s deep-tech hardware to **drivers, partners, and government agencies**—owning both: - the **internal systems** that must be correct, and - the **public surfaces** that must be trusted. ## The Work - **Public Impact:** Help build software millions of drivers use to manage toll accounts—**payments, account history, violation disputes, and communications**. Secure, robust, and intuitive. - **Partner Integrations:** Build and maintain integrations with **DMVs, mailhouses, and fleet vendors** for **ACH payment processing**. Work with data contracts, compliance constraints, and edge cases—often without a full spec. - **Platform & DevOps:** Own deployment tooling, service infrastructure, and shared standards so a team of ~25 can move quickly. If something is painful to stand up or run, you fix it. - **Access & Internal Tooling:** Consolidate authentication and operator access management across deployments, including a unified management interface for internal teams. --- ## Requirements - **Education:** Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field. - **Portfolio:** Side projects, open-source contributions, or high-impact internships. - **Mindset:** A “fully formed adult”—you don’t wait for a manual; you figure out what’s needed and execute professionally.
