We’ve raised $100M from top investors including Emergence Capital, Scale Venture Partners, YC, and the founders of Twilio, Affirm, ElevenLabs, and more. ### About the Role As a **Senior Infrastructure Engineer**, you’ll help build the backbone that enables **millions of AI-powered phone conversations**. You’ll architect distributed systems for **real-time voice processing**, **scale ML inference**, and **integrate with enterprise telephony infrastructure**—directly impacting whether our platform can handle critical call volumes. ### What You’ll Do - **Design scalable architecture:** Build distributed systems using **Kubernetes** for high-volume, real-time voice processing with strict **latency** and **reliability** requirements. - **Build and support ML infrastructure:** Create and optimize infrastructure for AI models, from **training pipelines** to **real-time inference serving** across multiple regions. - **Integrate with telephony:** Maintain robust connections between our platform and enterprise phone systems, including **SIP trunks** and **VoIP** infrastructure. - **Identify and address flaws:** Help evolve a new architecture by spotting gaps and driving solutions. - **Ensure reliability:** Implement **monitoring, alerting, and incident response** for 24/7 enterprise-grade uptime. - **Scale with growth:** Anticipate and solve scaling challenges as call volume grows exponentially. - **Security and compliance:** Apply security best practices and meet compliance needs for regulated industries. ### Interesting Problems to Own - **Old meets new:** Modernize and rethink legacy telephone protocols and techniques. - **Sizable call volumes:** Develop unique solutions to match any customer call volume. - **Streaming architectures:** Build for reliability, failover, and scaling of stream-based traffic. ### What Makes You a Great Fit - **Infrastructure expertise:** 5+ years building/scaling distributed systems; strong cloud knowledge (**AWS/GCP preferred**). - **Deep fundamentals:** You can explain core concepts (e.g., TLS, load balancing) and enjoy sharing knowledge. - **Real-time systems experience:** High-throughput, low-latency workloads; streaming and real-time processing. - **Startup mentality:** Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-moving environment. - **Opinionated, collaborative:** You drive progress while staying constructive and solution-focused. - Familiar with tools/components such as: **Cloudflare, HAProxy, Go, TypeScript, Datadog, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Nvidia hardware (e.g., nvlink)**, and more. ### Bonus Points - Experience with **telephony systems** (SIP, VoIP, WebRTC) - Background in **ML infrastructure**, model serving, or **GPU computing** - Experience with **real-time audio/video processing** ### Benefits and Pay - Healthcare, dental, vision - Meaningful equity - Tools you need to succeed - Beautiful office in Levi’s Plaza (SF) with rooftop views **Compensation Range:** **$120,000–$200,000**
