## Software Engineer Intern, Mobile (Winter 2027) ### About Notion Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together. We’re building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side—so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. **In-person requirement:** Notion is an in-person company and currently requires employees to come to the office for **three Anchor Days (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays)**. ### Internship Details - **Dates:** **Jan 25 – Apr 16** - **Location:** Must be able to work from **NY or SF office** during this time - **Mentorship:** You’ll be paired with a mentor and work closely with the team to build and ship impactful projects ### About the Role Mobile devices have reshaped personal computing—now the power of a desktop fits in your pocket. During this **12-week internship**, you’ll help build a delightful, intuitive mobile experience by working on **Android and iOS**. ### What You’ll Achieve - Write **clean, secure, tested, and documented** code - Collaborate with the team to strategize and develop innovative features for the **Android and iOS** applications - Improve **performance, reliability, and overall refinement** of the mobile apps - Opportunity to optimize parts of the app within the **web stack** ### Qualifications - Pursuing a **Bachelor’s or Master’s** degree in **computer science, engineering, or related field** - **Must graduate before December 2027** - **Previous mobile internship experience** - Working toward proficiency in one or more: **Kotlin, Java, TypeScript, Node.js, Swift, Go, Python, Rust** - Enjoys tackling large challenges and discovering problems as much as solving them - Able to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Internship runs **Jan–Apr** and requires working from the **SF or NY office** ### Skills You’ll Need to Bring - **Thoughtful problem-solving:** understand context, decompose problems, and ask for help when needed - **Put users first:** consider real-world impact and responsibility - **Not ideological about technology:** focus on tradeoffs; learn as needed - **Empathetic communication:** explain decisions clearly and collaborate thoughtfully - **Team player:** enjoy cross-functional collaboration and learning ### Nice to Haves - Familiarity with parts of the stack such as **Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Dagger, Swift, React, TypeScript, Postgres** - Interest in computing pioneers (e.g., **Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay**) - Interests outside of technology (e.g., **art, history, social sciences**) ### Compensation & Benefits Notion offers highly competitive **cash compensation, equity, and benefits**.
