**Astranis — Software Developer, Network Software Intern (Summer 2027)** Astranis builds advanced satellites for high orbits, expanding humanity’s reach into the solar system. Today, Astranis satellites provide dedicated, secure networks to highly-sophisticated customers across the globe—large enterprises, sovereign governments, and the US military. With five satellites on orbit and many more set to launch soon, the company is servicing a backlog of more than **$1B** in commercial contracts. --- ## Internship Overview - Internships typically last **12 weeks** - **Hourly** role for students currently enrolled at a **four-year university** - You’ll work on hard problems and meaningful projects—many past interns have designed and tested hardware/software that’s heading to space, and many have gone on to full-time roles --- ## Role - Design and implement **UI components** and **back-end workflows** of satellite network management software - Work closely with **network operations** teams to build and manage **satellite and ground networks** - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define **software requirements**, **architecture**, and **design** --- ## Requirements - Currently pursuing a **B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering**, or equivalent technical degree - Experience with **Django** or similar frameworks - Experience working with **relational/SQL databases** (e.g., **Postgres**) - Comfortable rapidly prototyping and fully developing UI concepts with a focus on **overall user experience** - Demonstrated ability to personally **design, write, and test software from scratch** - Don’t meet them all? **Please apply anyway** --- ## Compensation - **Base pay:** **$29.00/hour** --- ## Eligibility **U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required** --- ## Inclusion Astranis’ mission and products are built for everyone.
