The company designs, builds, and operates its satellites out of its **153,000 sq. ft.** headquarters in Northern California, USA. --- ## Associate Engineer (Summer 2027) **Associate Engineer positions typically last for twelve weeks** and are salaried roles designed for students who have already received a bachelor’s degree (or will have done so before working at Astranis). As an Associate Engineer, you’ll work on hard problems and meaningful projects of equal importance and difficulty to those given to full-time employees. Many past Associate Engineers have designed and tested hardware/software that is heading to space on Astranis’ first satellite, and many now work at Astranis full-time. > If you are still a college student, please apply to join us as an **Intern**. --- ## Role - Design and implement **UI components** and **back-end workflows** of satellite network management software - Work closely with **network operations teams** to create software that helps build and manage **satellite and ground networks** - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define **software requirements, architecture, and design** --- ## Requirements - Currently pursuing a **B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering**, or equivalent technical degree - Experience with **Django** or similar frameworks - Experience working with **relational/SQL databases** (e.g., **Postgres**) - Comfortable rapidly prototyping and fully developing UI concepts with a focus on overall **user experience** - Demonstrated ability to personally design, write, and test software from scratch - Don’t meet them all? **Please apply even if you do not meet all these criteria.** --- ## Pay - **Base salary:** **$1,925 per week** --- ## Eligibility **U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required** (To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).) --- ## Inclusion Astranis’ mission and products are built for everyone, regardless of gender, race, creed, or background.
