**Software Engineer - Container Fabric** **About the role** Join New Relic’s Container Fabric (CF) team and help shape a global internal platform at the heart of our infrastructure. You’ll build resilient, scalable systems that empower engineering teams across the business—solving complex, large-scale challenges with a focus on high-availability platform orchestration. **What you’ll do** - **Platform Orchestration:** Oversee and enhance a large Kubernetes infrastructure platform to ensure peak availability, performance, and reliability. - **Automation & Engineering:** Evolve internal tooling to reduce manual overhead and streamline platform delivery across global teams. - **Lifecycle Management:** Manage Day 1 and Day 2 operations for Kubernetes clusters using modern scaling frameworks. - **Operational Excellence:** Partner with a supportive engineering team to manage production environments and lead high-severity incident responses calmly and efficiently. **This role requires** - **Infrastructure Expertise:** Background in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering managing production environments. - **Kubernetes Mastery:** Deep working knowledge of Kubernetes primitives (Deployments, StatefulSets, Services) and hands-on experience building custom Kubernetes Operators. - **Golang Proficiency:** Strong skills in Go for systems programming and infrastructure automation. - **Production Focus:** Proven experience maintaining production stability, monitoring, and resolving high-severity incidents. **Bonus points if you have** - Experience with cloud-native auto-scaling technologies such as **Karpenter** or **Cluster API**. - Familiarity with **Helm** and GitOps tools like **ArgoCD** or **Flux** for continuous deployment workflows. *Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.* **Estimated Base Pay Range** $126,000 — $158,000 USD **Benefits (high level)** Healthcare (medical/dental/vision), parental leave and planning, mental health benefits, 401(k) plan and match, flex time-off, paid holidays, volunteer time-off, and other competitive benefits. **Additional notes** - New Relic supports a flexible workforce model (fully office-based, fully remote, or hybrid). - A criminal background check is required to join New Relic. - If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application process, contact **resume@newrelic.com**.
