Whether it’s at the airport, stadium, or throughout everyday life, CLEAR unlocks frictionless experiences. --- ## What you’ll do - Advance capabilities across a wide array of industries and domains, gaining hands-on experience with privacy, security, data modeling, and architecture. - Develop and deliver code across the full stack, driving engineering excellence through best practices in testing, documentation, and observability. - Partner with Product and other stakeholders to uncover requirements, innovate, and solve complex problems. - Take ownership of architectural decisions and continuously improve technology and processes at CLEAR. --- ## What you’re great at - 6+ years of backend software development experience in Java. - Experience with cloud-based application development and fluency in at least a few of: - AWS (or similar cloud providers) - Docker and Kubernetes - GitHub, Argo, and Jenkins (or similar collaboration/integration/deployment tools) - Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Collaboration and mentoring for less experienced team members. - Comfort with ambiguity. - Curiosity, commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to be autonomous in identifying what matters. --- ## Tech stack (highlights) - Java / Kafka / Postgres - AWS cloud --- ## How you’ll be rewarded CLEAR offers holistic total rewards, including: - Comprehensive healthcare plans - Family-building benefits (fertility and adoption/surrogacy support) - Flexible time off - Annual wellness stipend - Free OneMedical memberships for you and your dependents - CLEAR Plus membership - 401(k) retirement plan with employer match **Compensation range:** **$220,000 to $290,000** (depending on level, skills, and experience). This range includes base salary, annual bonus incentive, and new hire equity (RSUs).
