Datadog’s **Software Engineers with Systems depth** use their experience with systems and tooling to build software that keeps Datadog **reliable, performant, and secure**. ## What you’ll do - Apply systems + software engineering experience to build and run **internal platforms and tools** that Datadog products rely on. - Work on **large cloud infrastructure deployments**, **reliability efforts**, and/or **release machinery** that enables hundreds or thousands of developers to ship without stepping on each other’s toes. ## Systems & tooling you may have depth in (examples) - **Bazel**, build tooling - **Cassandra** - **CDN** - **Chef**, configuration management - **Container orchestration** - **Consul** - **Docker** - **Elasticsearch**, **Envoy**, **HAProxy** - **Kafka** - **Kubernetes** - **Load balancing**, network architecture - **Postgres**, **Redis** - **Release management** - **RPC frameworks**, service discovery - **Spinnaker** - **Terraform**, **Zookeeper** ## Bonus - You’re excited about leveraging **AI tools** to enhance how you code, solve problems, and build—or eager to learn how. ## Notes - This role is available in various departments.
