If you want big responsibility, complex problems, and meaningful impact across businesses, governments, and millions of people, keep reading. --- **ABOUT THE ROLE** Socure is seeking a **Senior Business Systems Engineer (Product & Engineering Platforms)** to own and evolve the systems that support product planning, engineering execution, portfolio management, and cross-functional delivery. You’ll serve as the technical owner and strategic partner for platforms such as **Jira**, **Aha!**, and related product/project management tools—translating business processes into scalable configurations, integrations, workflows, and reporting. This is a **hands-on engineering and systems ownership** role. You’ll identify tooling/process friction and implement improvements in visibility, data quality, governance, and execution. --- **WHAT YOU’LL DO** **1) OWN PRODUCT AND ENGINEERING PLATFORMS** - Serve as the primary technical owner for **Jira**, **Aha!**, and similar platforms for planning, execution, portfolio management, and program tracking. - Manage configuration, administration, upgrades, permissions, security, integrations, data quality, and ongoing maintenance. - Design and maintain scalable workflows, schemas, fields, templates, automations, dashboards, and reporting structures. - Ensure platforms are reliable, performant, secure, and aligned with company policies. - Establish standards to reduce unnecessary customization, duplication, and process fragmentation. - Maintain documentation for architecture, integrations, workflows, ownership, and support. **2) PARTNER WITH PRODUCT AND ENGINEERING** - Work with Product, Engineering, Technical Program Management, Product/Tech Operations, Finance, IT, and business leaders to understand planning and delivery needs. - Translate business requirements into practical system designs and configurations. - Improve how initiatives, roadmaps, epics, dependencies, capacity, milestones, intake requests, and delivery risks are represented across systems. - Enable consistent planning and reporting across product lines while supporting different operating models. - Facilitate working sessions to identify gaps, define requirements, and align on standardized ways of working. - Provide technical guidance for workflow, taxonomy, reporting, and planning process changes. **3) IMPLEMENT AND INTEGRATE ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS** - Lead implementation of new product, engineering, portfolio, and work-management capabilities. - Build and maintain integrations between platforms such as **Jira**, **Aha!**, **Confluence**, **GitHub/GitLab**, **Slack**, **Workday**, financial systems, BI tools, and other enterprise applications. - Use APIs, webhooks, automation frameworks, and integration platforms to reduce manual work and improve data consistency. - Support data migrations, platform consolidations, tool replacements, and major configuration changes. - Develop testing/validation/rollback and change-management plans for releases. - Evaluate vendor capabilities and determine whether needs are met via configuration, integration, customization, or process change. **4) IMPROVE GOVERNANCE AND DATA QUALITY** - Define and enforce standards for fields, hierarchies, workflows, permissions, naming conventions, and ownership. - Monitor usage to identify in
