Binti is a **for-profit, mission-driven** software company based in **San Francisco, CA** (team of ~90 and growing). --- ## Overview of Role We’re looking for **product-oriented engineers** who are skilled at leveraging **AI** in both their coding and the products they build. You’ll take significant ownership of technical projects that drive business success. --- ## Location / Work Setup - Headquarters: **San Francisco, California** - Most team members are local to the **San Francisco Bay Area** - **Hybrid**: in-person **Monday & Thursday**, remote otherwise - Satellite offices (e.g., Seattle) set their own in-office days and hybrid policies --- ## What You Will Do - Lead **architecture discussions** during feature development to ensure solutions are sound, reliable, and performant - Improve user experiences relied on by engineers during day-to-day workflows - Build full stack (**~60% back end / ~40% front end**) - Mentor other engineers and share best practices - Optimize component performance for both **latency** and **throughput** - Monitor systems and performance in a scalable way - Guide **incident response** and **vulnerability remediation** - Collaborate with **Product Management** to scope and execute product features while upholding Binti’s values - Focus on the **longevity of the codebase** (advocate for flexible, scalable, approachable patterns) - Help the team move quickly while maintaining a welcoming, supportive culture - Build a beautiful, intuitive, and accessible product experience for users from all walks of life - Champion **security and privacy**, including ways to make **HIPAA compliance** easier for sensitive data and apply security best practices --- ## Sample Projects - Spearhead development of new product areas like **child intake** and **community crisis response** - Evolve configurable platform features such as **scheduling** and **application** workflows
