**Senior/Staff DevOps Engineer** **About Binti** Binti builds software for state and county government agencies, focusing on reinventing social services. We've helped approve 100,000+ families to foster or adopt and support 49% of the nation's child welfare system. Series B startup, ~90 people, based in San Francisco. **The Role** We're seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure as we scale operations. **What You'll Do** • Design and implement infrastructure as code using Pulumi and TypeScript • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using BuildKite • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Honeycomb and Google Cloud Logging • Collaborate with development teams on infrastructure solutions • Plan and execute scaling strategies for high availability • Optimize cloud resource usage and control costs • Develop disaster recovery and backup procedures • Automate repetitive tasks and document configurations • Participate in on-call rotations during working hours **Required Qualifications** • Proven experience with infrastructure as code (ideally Pulumi) • Proficiency in TypeScript • Hands-on Kubernetes and cluster management experience • Strong cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) • Docker containerization experience • CI/CD tools experience (BuildKite, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI) • Monitoring/logging tools familiarity (Honeycomb, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) • Networking and cloud security best practices knowledge • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience with Pulumi, GKE, TypeScript, BuildKite, Honeycomb • Security best practices and compliance implementation • Database management and optimization • Ruby on Rails scaling experience • Scripting skills (Ruby, Python, Bash) **Location** San Francisco, CA (in-person Mondays & Thursdays).
