## Integration & Test Systems Engineer (Mid–Sr.) — Space Programs ### Responsibilities - Provide Systems Engineering excellence through **System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP)** processes - Support deployment of new and revised applications to operational systems, including **hardware and software testing** - Collaborate with engineering, **Operations, IT Security, Mission Assurance, and Task Order Leads** to identify, resolve, and mitigate system anomalies (including complex system, software, and cybersecurity issues) - Lead planning, scheduling, **state of health**, and **risk management** activities - Guide cross-functional teams and lead/present at major program reviews - Mentor junior systems engineers - Perform **system-level testing** with ground systems equipment for end-to-end testing in the **Ground Station Testing Facility (GSTF)** - Support **GSTF management** tasks involving DTE hardware and software - Support **orbital and launch operations** activities ### Qualifications **Required** - **B.S.** in an Engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering) with **5+ years** related experience; or **M.S.** with **3+ years** experience - **3+ years** of development, integration, and test (I&T) within the systems engineering function - Experience working with customers to document, derive, and develop requirements - Ability to communicate complex technical projects to high-level stakeholders - Experience creating **Test Strategy, Plans, Scripts, and Summary Reports** - Experience with **Test Automation Tools and Practices**, including scripting (C++, Python, MATLAB, Perl, UNIX) - Experience with **Windows and Linux servers** (RedHat, CentOS) - Proficiency with **Microsoft Office** (PowerPoint, MS Project, Word, Excel) - Ability to travel for up to several weeks each year to support DTE activities - **Public Trust** background check required; ability to obtain/maintain a **Secret Security clearance** - Must be a **U.S. citizen** **Desired** - Experience with the **NASA Near Space Network**, including **Direct to Earth (DTE)** and **Space Relay (SR)** networks - Software development and familiarity with scripting languages - Strong written/verbal communication skills for leadership and customer briefings - Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving, multi-tasking, and attention to detail - Ability to work with diverse suppliers, vendors, and Government employees - Active **Secret clearance** (plus) ### Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company delivering mission capability integration and enterprise IT solutions across land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace.
