## Senior IT Business Analyst (Systems Operations Center) ### Overview This role is visible to hospital business service lines and serves as a liaison between IT and those groups. You’ll also provide application configuration support to improve departmental operational efficiency and workflow needs. ### What You Will Do - Support major enterprise applications and other assigned systems - Lead business workflow design with business units; guide Application Analysts on improving efficiencies, resolving complex workflow issues, and incorporating quality initiatives - Lead needs assessment, software design, implementation, support, and reporting - Lead unit and integrated testing to ensure design objectives are met - Identify complex testing scenarios, develop test scripts, and validate results - Maintain a strong understanding of departmental business processes - Own specific functionality/processes, including configuration, testing, and communication - Troubleshoot application issues independently to resolution - Troubleshoot system hardware as needed - Partner with end users to understand workflows and business processes - Oversee security for assigned applications - Manage Disaster Recovery and Backup requirements for assigned systems; guide Application Analysts - Act as team project lead with the Project Management Office across project phases (scoping/design through implementation and transition to Operations) - Mentor Application Analysts - Produce and maintain custom reports (including experience with industry standard report writers such as Crystal Reports) - Review and approve end-user training materials and participate in training efforts - Ensure high documentation standards across the team - Lead issue escalations with appropriate resources - Develop policies and procedures in collaboration with the business unit, team members, and IT leadership - Independently manage components of application upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and support - Support/troubleshoot inbound and outbound interfaces as appropriate - Create reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to support the customer base - Prepare detailed flowcharts/diagrams to support design decisions and problem analysis - Serve as primary customer contact for on- and off-hours application support (rotating schedule) - Participate in change management for successful deployments and enhancements - Use and maintain appropriate change control procedures and standards - Collaborate with other application and clinical analysts to ensure system integrations - Assist with data collection from business subject matter experts to support improved workflow design ### Additional Responsibilities - Perform other duties as assigned - Comply with all policies and standards - Follow all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) - Complete annual training and adhere to the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies/procedures for appropriate PHI use --- ## Education - **High School Equivalent / GED (Required)** - **Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)** ## Work Experience - **3+ years supporting applications (Required)** - Healthcare setting experience (Preferred) - Experience with business applications such as: - Epic Grand Central - Compass Rose - Cogito - Power BI - Logis (Dispatching System) - Ryde Central (Patient Transport) - **(Required)** ## Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills (**Required**) - A
