**Senior Systems Engineer, Productivity Engineering** **About the role** Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human. As a Senior Systems Engineer at Okta, you’ll architect workflows, secure the productivity ecosystem, and ensure the stack—from Google Workspace to Slack and Gemini—works seamlessly for every employee, everywhere. **What you’ll be doing** - **Infrastructure Management:** Administer and optimize core productivity tools (Google Workspace, Gemini, Slack, Asana, Smartsheet, and more). - **AI Integration & Strategy:** Lead deployment, management, and troubleshooting of enterprise AI tools (specifically Gemini) and integrate them safely into daily workflows. - **Enablement:** Create technical documentation and partner cross-functionally to drive adoption, training, and best practices. - **Global Support:** Serve as a **Tier 3 escalation** point for complex issues in a fast-paced **24/7** global environment (from a US hub). - **Lifecycle Management:** Own the lifecycle management of multiple enterprise SaaS applications. - **Governance & Standards:** Define and enforce global standards for tool usage, security permissions, and data governance. - **Problem Solving & Innovation:** Identify root-cause trends and devise solutions with limited information for unusual SaaS circumstances. - **Process Automation:** Use APIs and scripting to automate repetitive administrative tasks. - **Data Insights & Goal Delivery:** Extract meaningful insights from system data and deliver quarterly goals with high quality. **What you’ll bring** - **Technical expertise:** Deep experience managing enterprise **Google Workspace** (DNS, mail routing, Vault, DLP) and admin experience with tools like Slack, Asana, Jira, ServiceNow, and Smartsheet. - **AI proficiency:** Practical experience managing/deploying **Gemini** and other AI-driven productivity interfaces in a corporate environment. - **SaaS architecture & security:** Strong understanding of SaaS principles, API integrations, and **RBAC** security best practices. - **Operational agility:** Experience supporting a distributed, global company. - **Governance mindset:** Track record implementing **least privilege** access and driving standards. - **Automation & scripting:** Proficiency in **Apps Script, Python, or Bash**. - **Communication:** Excellent written and verbal communication to lead training and influence org-wide usage. - **Stakeholder alignment:** Ability to work with senior partners who may be less technical and drive adoption of new processes. - **Leadership & peer support:** Provide actionable feedback and demonstrate resilience under pressure. - **Experience:** **5+ years** in a related professional role. **Additional requirement** - Ability to access federal environments and/or protected federal data, including documentation establishing **U.S. Person status** upon hire. **Why join Okta** - Build with purpose—solve meaningful problems that simplify and secure Okta at global scale. - Work with cutting-edge tools, including Google’s AI suite (Gemini). - Join a supportive team that values technical excellence, clean code, and growth. **What you can look forward to** - Benefits, social impact, and a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. *Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Affirmative Action Employer.*
