**Applied AI Architect, Public Sector** **About Anthropic** Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems—safe and beneficial for users and society. **About the role** As a Pre-Sales Applied AI team member, you’ll serve as a trusted technical advisor to systems integrators, startups, and GovTech organizations. You’ll help customers understand the value of Claude and shape the vision for how they can successfully integrate and deploy Claude into their technology stack—balancing innovation with Anthropic’s standards for safety and reliability. You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to guide customers from initial technical discovery through successful deployment. You’ll help customers understand Claude’s capabilities, develop evals, and design scalable architectures that maximize impact. **Responsibilities** - Partner with account executives to translate customer requirements into technical solutions aligned to business goals - Act as the primary technical advisor throughout the Claude adoption journey (discovery → evaluation → deployment), coordinating across internal teams and stakeholders - Support customers building with **Claude Code**, the **Claude API**, and **Claude for Enterprise** - Create and deliver technical content for multiple audiences (deep technical sessions through executive/business value discussions) - Guide technical architecture decisions and help integrate Claude into existing stacks - Help customers develop evaluation frameworks for their specific use cases - Identify common integration patterns and share insights with Product and Engineering - Travel frequently for workshops, technical deep dives, and relationship building - Stay current on the latest LLM capabilities and implementation patterns **You may be a good fit if you have** - **US Secret Clearance preferred** (for defense tech customers) - Prior experience in government, government contracting, or government tech preferred - **5+ years** in technical customer-facing roles (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager) - Experience navigating complex buying cycles with multiple stakeholders - Strong relationship-building and ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse groups (including C-suite, engineering, and IT) - Strong technical communication skills to translate between technical and business stakeholders - Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems - Familiarity with **Python** - Familiarity with common LLM frameworks/tools, or a background in ML/data science - Ability to collaborate across organizations, work through trade-offs, and balance competing priorities - A passion for teaching/mentoring and helping others succeed - A creative, safety-minded approach to using technology to advance safe AI systems **Compensation (Annual Salary)** - **$240,000 — $315,000 USD** **Logistics** - **Minimum education:** Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education/training/experience) - **Required field of study:** Relevant to the role (via coursework, training, or professional experience) - **Minimum years of experience:** Correlates with internal job level requirements - **Location-based hybrid policy:** Expected to be in an office at least **25%** of the time (some roles may require more) - **Visa sponsorship:** Yes—Anthropic makes reasonable efforts to support visas when offering the role **Safety note (ant
