We call ourselves **BANDmates** because building something this big takes collaboration, different perspectives, and the freedom to bring your authentic self to the table. **What We Are Looking For** As a **Senior Engineer on our Account Provisioning Development** team, you’ll build and expand Bandwidth’s account provisioning system. The team enables Bandwidth to provision customers for all of the global communication services we offer at large and growing scale. We’re looking for people who get excited about building highly performant and maintainable services and infrastructure. **What You’ll Do** - Design, implement, and operate flexible and accurate account provisioning systems that support global communication services. - Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver solutions that meet customer needs. - Identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies in provisioning processes, ensuring high availability and scalability. - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture decisions to uphold high-quality software development practices. - Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. **What You Need** - 5+ years of engineering experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems. - Experience with **Java, Python, and Go**; familiarity with **AWS** or other cloud providers. - Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions. - Maintain high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong communication skills to express ideas and technical solutions, including articulating pros/cons of proposed approaches. **Bonus Points** - Startup experience (or working in environments with independent work and less defined requirements). - Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., **Datadog**). - Practical knowledge of infrastructure as code (specifically **Terraform**). - Strong understanding of modern **CI/CD** best practices (ideally **GitHub Actions**). - Experience with development in AI technologies and/or AI-assisted development. - Experience in front-end development with **React** and **TypeScript**. **The Whole Person Promise** Bandwidth is rooted in a “Whole Person Promise,” supporting meaningful work and a full life. - 100% company-paid Medical, Vision, & Dental coverage for you and your family (low deductibles, low out-of-pocket) - Four weeks of PTO for new hires - PTO Embargo: when you take time off, you’re embargoed from working (no interruptions—even email) - Additional PTO via volunteer hours and Bandwidth challenges - “Mahalo moments” program for major life events - 90-minute workout lunches and unlimited meetings with an in-house nutritionist If you’re excited about the role and want to help us crush the mission, we enc
