**Sr. HPC Systems Engineer (High Performance Computing)** **About the Role** SpaceX is seeking an HPC Systems Engineer to support world-class engineering operations. You'll manage HPC clusters, storage systems, and high-speed networks while providing application support across engineering disciplines. **Key Responsibilities** • Administer and manage HPC clusters, storage systems, and high-speed networks • Provide application support to SpaceX employees across engineering disciplines • Install and integrate Linux-based compute clusters • Write instructional documentation and convey highly technical ideas in non-technical terms **Basic Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline + 5+ years systems engineering experience; OR 7+ years professional software development experience • 5+ years hands-on experience with client/server hardware, management tools, enterprise networking, virtualization, and security technologies **Preferred Skills** • 5+ years building, deploying, and troubleshooting Linux systems • Scripting experience (Bash, Python) • HPC cluster experience • Cluster resource managers (Slurm, PBS, LSF) • Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios) • Scientific computing (CFD, FEA) • GPU/CUDA experience • Containers (Docker, Podman, Singularity) • Configuration management (Puppet, Ansible) • Kubernetes • TS/SCI clearance eligibility with Polygraph **Additional Requirements** • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed • ITAR compliance: U.S. citizen, national, green card holder, refugee, or asylee status required **Compensation** Level 3: $165,000 - $265,000 (based on qualifications and experience) Comprehensive benefits including medical/vision/dental, 401(k), stock options, paid parental leave, and 3+ weeks vacation.
