About this role
**Sr. Full Stack Engineer** SpaceX is looking for senior full stack engineers to join the application software team - the central nervous system of SpaceX. You'll create mission-critical applications that accelerate launch vehicle production, enable Starship reusability, and support Starlink's growth as a global internet service. **What You'll Do:** • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX • Create new applications that improve SpaceX operations • Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts • Own all aspects of software engineering and product development • Deep dive into user problems to find efficient solutions • Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews **Required Qualifications:** • Bachelor's in CS, engineering, math, or scientific discipline + 5+ years professional software development experience (OR 7+ years without degree) • 3+ years professional full stack development experience **Preferred Skills:** • Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar OOP languages • 1+ years building single page web applications • Version control, CI/CD expertise • Software system design expertise • Testing, build, deployment & monitoring knowledge • Application performance profiling • Build systems (Make, Bazel, Gradle) and package management (pip, npm) • UNIX-like OS experience with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet • Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar data streaming • Docker and Kubernetes production experience • Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks • PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar databases **Additional Notes:** Extended hours/weekends may be required based on launch cadence.
