**Data Engineer** **About Pika** Building the next generation of AI creative tools to empower human creativity. We're making video creation seamless, intuitive, and accessible to everyone through advanced AI. **About the Role** Design, build, and scale the data infrastructure powering Pika's creative AI platform. You'll architect and maintain data pipelines and analytics systems, enabling data-driven decisions and world-class AI experiences. **What You'll Do** • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows • Build, automate, and optimize data infrastructure for analytics, reporting, and ML • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all sources • Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams on data requirements • Implement monitoring solutions and resolve data pipeline issues • Optimize storage and processing performance • Contribute to data modeling and schema design • Establish best practices and empower data-driven culture **What We're Looking For** • 4+ years as a Data Engineer or similar role • Strong software engineering background (Python, SQL, or similar) • Experience with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, etc.) • Cloud data platform experience (AWS/GCP, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake) • Knowledge of databases, data modeling, and data warehousing • Monitoring, logging, and data quality practices • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration **Nice to Have** • ML/AI data support experience • Real-time/streaming data architectures (Kafka, Kinesis) • High-growth startup experience • Open source or community involvement **Stack** Python, Go, Node.js, Postgres, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP **What We Offer** • Competitive salary • Substantial equity • Comprehensive health benefits and stipends • Collaborative, high-growth culture • Hybrid in-office (Palo Alto, CA)
