**Astranis — Guidance, Navigation, and Control Intern (Summer 2027)** Astranis builds advanced satellites for high orbits, providing dedicated, secure networks for highly sophisticated customers worldwide, including large enterprises, sovereign governments, and the US military. With five satellites on orbit and more launching soon, Astranis is servicing a backlog of $1B+ in commercial contracts. **Internship Details** - Typically **12 weeks** - **Hourly** role for students currently enrolled at a **four-year university** - If you’ve already graduated, apply for an **Associate Engineer** role **Role** - Work with the **Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC)** team to design, build, and test **satellite software and hardware** **Requirements** - Currently pursuing a **B.S.** in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering, CS, physics) with focus on **control systems, orbital mechanics, or spacecraft design** - Familiarity with **control theory and/or estimation methods** - Experience with **Python and/or C/C++** - Demonstrated ability to **design, build, and test** software and/or hardware **from scratch** **Bonus** - Familiarity with **spacecraft design** - Experience with **low thrust trajectories** **Pay** - **$29.00/hour (base)** **Eligibility** - **U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required** *Astranis is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace and encourages people of all backgrounds to apply.*
