## TL;DR The next wave of stablecoin adoption is **payments**. We’re building a **stablecoin clearinghouse** so stablecoins move like money—not a trading asset. We’re a small, scrappy team (~10 people) based in **NYC**, backed by **$10M** (a16z crypto and other partners). --- ## What You’ll Do - **Shape responsible AI-assisted development** for core financial infrastructure—without sacrificing correctness guarantees. - **Own the test harness** for core systems, including: - Integration tests - Formal verification - Chaos testing across the **ledger**, **netting algorithm**, **money movement**, and **payment ordering** - Build **correctness guarantees** that let the team ship faster with confidence. - Design and build **internal tools** that amplify productivity. - Own **CI/CD pipelines**, **dev environments**, and **deployment infrastructure**—make the path from code to production fast, safe, and “boring.” - Improve **observability** (logging, tracing, alerting) to catch issues before customers do. --- ## What We’re Looking For - **5+ years** in platform engineering, developer tooling, infrastructure, or reliability engineering. - Expert in **GCP or AWS**. - Comfortable with **TypeScript and/or Python**. - Experience with **NodeJS or similar runtimes**. - **PostgreSQL** or similar RDBMS. - Built infrastructure where **correctness truly matters** (payments, trading, ledgers, or similar). - Strong reasoning about **state, ordering, idempotency, failure modes, and consistency** in distributed systems. - Plus: experience with **formal verification**, **property-based testing**, or **chaos engineering** (e.g., **Temporal** or **TigerBeetle**). - Strong opinions on **internal tooling**—and you build it proactively. - Thrives in ambiguity; sees lack of specificity as an opportunity for ownership. --- ## Our Values - **Be offended by the status quo** — a payment taking 3 days and costing 3% is offensive. - **Be all over it** — urgency, accountability, know the numbers, meet the right people. - **We sell trust** — security and integrity are non-negotiable. - **Do the dishes** — we’re all owners; put ego aside and get it done. - **Be the glue** — be direct, helpful, and assume positive intent. - **We enjoy the crucible** — optimistic about the mission; the journey is hard, and that’s part of it. --- ## Benefits - Competitive salary and equity - Comprehensive insurance (medical/dental/vision) - Unlimited vacation - Periodic off-sites - Daily lunch provided --- ## Equal Opportunity Employment The Better Money Company is an **equal opportunity employer**.
