**Atlas Energy Solutions Inc. (AESI)** is seeking an **IT Systems Administrator** to join a small team in a fast-paced, high-energy manufacturing environment across the **Kermit, TX** and **Monahans, TX** locations. --- ## How You Will Make an Impact The IT Systems Administrator will support and administer IT systems, including production Windows environments, virtualization, storage, networking, and desktop support—while working both indoors and outdoors in a manufacturing setting. --- ## Responsibilities - Provide desktop support for **local and remote** office staff - Diagnose and support computer functionality interfacing with **factory equipment, process controls, monitoring, and automation** - Administer **production Windows Server** environments (on-prem and remote locations) and cloud services such as **Office 365** and **Azure** - Administer virtualization platforms such as **VMware** or **Hyper-V** - Administer shared storage environments including **DAS, NAS, and SAN** (HP, Dell, Network Appliance, EMC) - Deploy moderately complex IT infrastructure across multiple geographic locations (virtualization, on-prem or cloud **Exchange**, advanced **Active Directory**, **ERP**, **Business Intelligence**, web presence, and more) - Familiarity with open-source software such as **Linux, Apache, PHP**, and others - Familiarity with LAN/WAN networking products: **routers, switches, firewall devices, VPNs**, and more - Use scripting and programmatic optimization to improve repeated administrative processes in **Linux and Windows** - Mentor and train others - Multitask efficiently in a high-energy office - Document processes and procedures - Work across Texas locations (primarily Kermit and Monahans); some travel may be required (e.g., **Austin and other locations**) - Communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) - Be willing to work flexible hours and be **on-call after hours** - Accept new tasks as assigned; set priorities based on guidelines and direction - Compare options, make logical decisions, and work well with ambiguity - Make some decisions independently without direct supervisor guidance - Other duties as assigned --- ## Qualifications **Required:** - **High school diploma** or degree (AAS in a technical field preferred); substantial related experience may substitute - **At least 2 years** of real-world experience with **desktop support** and administering **production servers** - Windows Server and desktop support expertise - Comfortable working in both **manufacturing environments outdoors** and **office environments** --- ## Work Location & Environment - **Location:** Kermit, TX - **Work Environment:** Indoor and outdoors - **Travel:** Up to **50%** --- ## Physical Demands - Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a manufacturing environment - Ability to lift up to **50 lbs** --- ## What You’ll Love About Us - **Best People & Team** — *Great Place to Work*, Hire Vets, Top Place to Work (Austin American Statesman) - **Your Well-Being is a Priority:** 100% covered Medical, Dental, and Vision - **Invest in Your Future:** 401K with company match, immediate vesting - **Relax and Recharge:** Paid time off (non-rotational roles) and **15+ company paid holidays** --- ## Equal Opportunity Employer Atlas Energy Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunity to all applicants and employees.
