**Oracle DBA / Migration Specialist** **About the role** At Accenture Federal Services, you’ll help design, implement, and maintain enterprise databases—installing database management systems, developing procedures for day-to-day maintenance, and resolving issues. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert across multiple teams, contributing to key technical decisions and providing solutions that apply broadly. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and maintain enterprise database environments - Install, configure, and optimize database management systems - Develop SQL reporting queries and scripts to support application and business needs - Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution - Perform database performance tuning and SQL statement optimization - Review, evaluate, and implement required database design changes - Develop and maintain database objects (procedures, functions, packages, triggers) - Manage data replication and support cutover activities using tools such as **Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM)** - Author migration runbooks and support cutover planning - Collaborate with multiple teams as a subject matter expert to drive technical decisions - Ensure database compliance with organizational policies, standards, and best practices - Document processes, operating procedures, and technical guides - Provide support in regulated, Federal Government, or compliance-driven environments **Here’s What You Need** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/technical discipline **or** 10 additional years of relevant experience - **Minimum 6 years** as an **Oracle Database Administrator** (Oracle 12c, 19c, or later) - Intermediate proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA) - Experience with **Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)** - Experience with migration runbook authoring and cutover planning - Experience with cross-platform migrations, cloud database services (OCI, AWS RDS, Azure), or hybrid architectures - Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders - Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills - Experience with one or more **VAEC Operational Tools (VAECOT)** **Bonus Points If** - Current OCI certification (Associate/Professional/Specialist) or recently passed an OCI exam - Experience creating technical documentation, SOPs, and how-to guides - ITIL certification or ITIL framework knowledge - Knowledge of security standards, countermeasures, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI, NIST 800-53, CIS benchmarks) - Prior Federal Government experience - Technical support and OS-level remediation for vulnerability scans - Experience with AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure - Experience with DevOps configuration technologies (Ansible, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet) - Experience writing/testing/maintaining code in JSON, Python, or HashiCorp Configuration Language **Eligibility Requirements** - **U.S. Citizen** (minimum 3 years U.S. residency) **Compensation (as listed)** - Base pay range: **$89,000 — $170,200 USD** (for the listed locations) *Note: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no fixed deadline to apply.*
