We’re hiring people who share our passion for building the future—solving real-world problems and seeing the impact of their work. --- ## Job Summary As the **Manager of Simulation Infrastructure**, you will lead a team of full-stack and infrastructure engineers responsible for the deployment, scaling, and operational health of the web applications, databases, and cloud infrastructure that support massive parallel batch simulation runs. You’ll drive the strategic roadmap, guide secure and high-throughput API architecture, and oversee the frontend-to-backend systems powering scenario management, run orchestration, and results analytics. You’ll also build and develop a high-performing team, partner with the Simulation Engine team on integration interfaces, and ensure platform reliability, observability, and cost-efficiency. --- ## Essential Responsibilities - Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of full-stack and infrastructure engineers, focusing on career growth, performance, and team health. - Own the strategic roadmap and execution for web applications and tools supporting simulation workflows (scenario management, run orchestration, tagging/taxonomy, and results analytics). - Guide architectural decisions for scalable cloud infrastructure and container orchestration for massive, parallel batch simulation runs. - Oversee design and maintenance of relational databases and secure, high-throughput APIs connecting frontend portals to simulation systems. - Drive engineering best practices across reliability, observability, and cost-efficiency. - Partner with the Simulation Engine team and stakeholders to align technical capabilities with business needs, define integration interfaces, and manage complex, multi-quarter projects. --- ## Skills and Abilities - Proven engineering management experience building healthy, high-performing technical teams. - Deep understanding of container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and cloud scalability, resilience, and operational health. - Strong foundation in relational database design (schema design, performance tuning) and scalable backend services (e.g., Go, Python, Node.js). - Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React), plus strong CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code knowledge. - Exceptional communication and leadership—able to bridge technical execution and product strategy. --- ## Qualifications and Experience ### Required Qualifications - B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - **5+ years** of software engineering experience across backend services and cloud infrastructure, including **2+ years** of direct people management. - Demonstrated experience operating production workloads on container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) at scale, with strong relational database ecosystems (e.g., PostgreSQL). - Solid background building secure, high-throughput APIs and web services (Go, Python, and/or Node.js) with modern frontends such as React. - Proven experience recruiting, building, and mentoring full-stack or infrastructure engineering teams. ### Desirable Qualifications - Experienc
