As our next **Software Engineer (Journeyman)**, you’ll collaborate with talented professionals to create innovative, mission-critical solutions that empower naval aviation and defense operations. ## Responsibilities As a Software Engineer, Journeyman, you will: - Develop software for aircraft autopilots and associated avionics systems - Participate in ground and flight testing of the developed systems - Work with the latest, cutting-edge technology - Collaborate with a team of driven, supportive, highly skilled professionals - Design, develop, document, test, and debug software and systems containing logical and mathematical solutions for aircraft autopilots and associated avionics - Confer with systems engineers, aerospace engineers, electrical engineers, developers, and others to design systems and obtain information on project limitations/capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces - Integrate hardware/software in the System Integration Lab (SIL) - Develop software using **C/C++** and the **Qt** framework - Develop avionics software in a **hard real-time** environment - Develop avionics software in accordance with **DO-178C** - Ensure software standards within the **AS9100D** quality management system are met ## Qualifications - **BS** in Computer Engineering or Computer Science (**Required**) - **MS** in Computer Engineering (**Preferred**) - Minimum **6 years** of work experience with **C/C++** and **Qt** - Minimum **3 years** of related work experience in **aircraft avionics** - Minimum **1 year** of work experience with a **Real Time Operating System** - **Active DoD Secret security clearance** ## Pay & Benefits - **Salary range:** USD **$110,000/Yr. – $130,000/Yr.** - Actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law. - Benefits include an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), healthcare, paid leave, retirement plans, insurance programs, and education/training assistance. ## EEO EEO Race/Sex/Disability Status/Veteran Status
