**Cloud Security Intern** **The Basics** At Tanium, **Cloud Cybersecurity Interns** gain real-world experience securing business-to-business security-focused applications. You’ll work with a mentor on a **project vetted by the Cloud Cybersecurity team**, and deliver it throughout the internship. You’ll also **present your work** to Tanium’s R&D team at the end. **Example projects include:** - Implementation of security detective and preventive controls for Tanium Cloud security operations - Implementation of DevOps security tools that provide security context and recommendations for deployed cloud resources - Identification and processing of security operations data to create new (or improve existing) dashboards and monitoring **Hybrid / Location** This position follows a hybrid schedule requiring work in the **Durham, NC office at least three (3) days per week**. **Compensation & Benefits** - Hourly rate: **$55.00** (estimated; may vary based on education, skills, training, and experience) - Housing stipend - 401(k) matching - Monthly allowance for communications reimbursement **What you’ll do** - Experience cloud security and operations in a software security company - Deliver a well-defined project that helps improve security at Tanium - Work as a member of Tanium’s Cloud Cybersecurity team - Show off what you’ve built - Enjoy the experience—Tanium is a fun place to work **We are looking for someone who is:** - Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future - Available to work full-time **June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027** - Currently enrolled as a Bachelor’s degree candidate (**GPA 3.5+ REQUIRED**) - Graduating **Spring 2028 or Fall 2027**
