**Full Stack Engineer, Launch Software** **About the Role** The application software team is the central nervous system of SpaceX - creating mission critical applications used throughout the company to accelerate launch vehicle production and flight, as well as systems enabling Starlink to grow into a worldwide fast, reliable Internet service. You'll work on systems enabling rapid build and reuse of Starship, next-generation manufacturing software for high-throughput factories, platforms managing data from always-on assets, and public-facing systems for global Starlink network access. Aerospace experience is not required - we look for smart, motivated, collaborative engineers who love solving problems. **Key Responsibilities** • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX • Create new applications that improve company operations • Build prototypes to prove out design concepts • Own all aspects of software engineering and product development • Deep dive into user problems to find efficient solutions • Contribute to team collaborations on architecture, design, and code reviews **Basic Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years professional software development experience • 1+ years full stack development experience **Preferred Skills** • Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object-oriented languages • 1+ years building single page web applications • Version control, CI/CD concepts • Software system design expertise • Testing, deployment, and monitoring proficiency • Application performance optimization • Build systems (Make, Bazel, Gradle) and package management (pip, npm) • UNIX-like operating systems and infrastructure tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) • Stream data processing (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) • Docker and Kubernetes production experience • Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks • PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar databases **Additional Requirements** • May require extended hours/weekends dependent on launch cadence • Onsite role - remote/hybrid not considered • ITAR compliance required (U.S. citizen, green card holder, refugee, or asylee status) **Compensation** Level 1: $125,000 - $160,000 Level 2: $145,000 - $195,000 Comprehensive benefits including medical/vision/dental, 401(k), stock options, paid vacation (3 weeks), 10+ paid holidays, and more.
