We’re looking for a **DevOps Automation Engineer** who can architect and build a scalable, multi-stage CI system that supports teams ranging from **embedded software** to **cloud software**. ## What you’ll do - Architect, build, and maintain a **scalable multi-stage CI system**. - Support and improve tools for **continuous integration**, **automated testing**, **automation**, and **release management**. - Define and implement automation for **operational activities**. - Improve **replicability** of build and test runs using **central OS configuration management**, **virtualization**, and **containerization** (e.g., **Kubernetes**, **Docker**). - Contribute to building a strong team of **Build Infrastructure Engineers / Continuous Integration Engineers**. - Unify development pipeline, build process, **testing**, and deployment strategies across diverse teams. ## Requirements - Strong understanding of CI and experience with industry standard solutions (e.g., **GitLab Runners**, **Jenkins**). - Strong programming and scripting knowledge (e.g., **Python**, **Ruby**, **PowerShell**, **Bash**). - Familiarity with **software configuration management** and **source code version control** systems. - Strong understanding of test processes and test strategies, including meaningful **test metrics**. - Strong communication skills to gather requirements and train teams on workflow and processes. - Good technical understanding of large-scale **server** and **cloud** infrastructures. - **6+ years** of professional industry experience in software engineering and/or DevOps engineering. ## Advantageous - Track record of designing and deploying reliable systems. - Experience developing CI systems and test automation for **embedded software and hardware**. - Experience with **model-based development** (Matlab/Simulink) and workflow; **automotive experience**. - Experience with **Kubernetes** and **cloud**. ## Education - Bachelor’s degree in **Electrical Engineering**, **Computer Science**, **Electronics Engineering**, or another technical related field. ## Compensation & Benefits (high level) Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off and holidays; paid sick leave; and a **401(k)** retirement plan.
