**Software Engineer, Simulation** **About Bedrock:** Bedrock is deploying autonomous systems on heavy construction equipment across the country. The team includes veterans from Waymo, Segment ($3.2B acquisition), and Uber Freight ($5B revenue). In two years, they've raised $350M and achieved the first fully autonomous excavator deployments in construction. **The Role:** Build and scale high-fidelity simulation environments for autonomous construction machines. Simulation is critical for validating end-to-end systems, evaluating complex scenarios, and running testing at massive scale. **Key Responsibilities:** • Build and scale high-fidelity simulation environments for autonomous construction machines • Develop simulation systems supporting ML-based autonomy, evaluation, and safety validation • Improve realism and performance to reflect real-world behavior • Guide strategy in scene generation and neural rendering techniques • Write production-quality code and build simulation content **Requirements:** • Engineering, math, physics, or CS degree with demonstrated strength in math/physics • 4+ years professional software engineering experience in C++ • 2+ years with 3D engines/simulation frameworks (Unreal, Unity, Godot, Blender, Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Omniverse) • Passion for large-scale, realistic simulation systems • Hands-on mindset and enthusiasm for core algorithms **Preferred:** • Rust experience or willingness to learn • Robotics simulation background • Neural rendering techniques (Gaussian splats, NeRFs) **Equal Opportunity Employer:** Bedrock considers all qualified applicants without regard to protected characteristics and provides reasonable accommodations.
