**Simulation Infrastructure Engineer** **About Bedrock** Bedrock is deploying autonomous systems on heavy construction equipment across the country. The team includes veterans from Waymo, Segment ($3.2B acquisition), and Uber Freight ($5B revenue). In two years, they've raised $350M and achieved the first fully autonomous excavator deployments in construction. **The Role** You'll be the Cloud team's point person for simulation, integrating simulators into Bedrock's Cloud platform and ensuring simulation and ML engineers operate at peak efficiency. This high-leverage generalist platform role involves building distributed systems, deployment infrastructure, data pipelines, and internal tooling. **Key Responsibilities** • Integrate simulators into the Cloud platform and own deployment, packaging, instrumentation, and scaling • Enable simulation in CI/CD workflows and maintain reliable nightly sim workflows • Serve as Cloud's liaison to simulation engineers, translating needs into platform work • Evaluate and implement infrastructure for evolving simulation capabilities **Required Qualifications** • 6+ years professional software engineering with production system ownership • Strong Python skills, API design, async patterns, cloud-native development • AWS experience, distributed systems knowledge (orchestration, state management, spot compute) • Deployment and service integration experience (gRPC, containers, instrumentation) • Generalist platform mindset across backend, data pipelines, CI, and internal UIs • Strong written communication and preference for small, well-instrumented systems **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience with Ray or similar distributed compute frameworks (Spark, Kubernetes) • Large-scale data systems experience (PB-scale, high flops, many vCPUs) • Early-stage startup experience building platform capabilities from scratch **Equal Opportunity Employer** Bedrock Robotics considers all qualified applicants without regard to protected characteristics and provides reasonable accommodations in the hiring process.
