You’ll use modern web technologies and methodologies to help build an outstanding commerce platform and a customer experience designed to delight. You’ll work with web technologies like **React** and **React Native**, and contribute to high-quality, thoroughly tested code for one of the world’s most recognizable brands. --- **The Team** This team builds client application experiences for **PlayStation consoles, websites, mobile applications, and beyond**—serving millions of users globally. If you care about **outstanding UX**, **performance**, and the blend of **games + technology**, this is for you. --- **Responsibilities** - Develop, test, and document business-critical features and applications - Partner with Product Owners/Managers to understand requirements and craft solutions for the PlayStation ecosystem - Improve quality and processes; propose standard methodologies and drive adoption - Build **JavaScript-based applications** across consoles, web, mobile, and future Sony devices/services - Build **digital commerce solutions** for games, media content, subscription services, and more - Write robust **unit and component tests** to ensure reliability and prevent regressions - Work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment - Work independently and collaborate with internal/external engineers - Review and provide feedback on pull requests and design plans - Define/refine technical approaches supporting **performance, accessibility, and scalability** - Deploy platform experiences through **CI/CD pipelines** - Monitor releases, analyze telemetry, and adapt based on production data - Continuously learn and experiment; participate in Hackathons and Café Days --- **Required Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, **or 3+ years** of relevant work experience - **2–3 years** building product experiences with UI technology proficiency - Passion for robust, sustainable, high-quality code - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Ability to produce detailed design and development documentation --- **Preferred Qualifications** - HTML, CSS, JavaScript ecosystem; familiarity with **React, Angular, Jest, TypeScript** - Familiarity with **Java** and **Spring Boot** (bonus) - Familiarity with **GraphQL**, **REST APIs**, and containerization tools like **Docker** - Understanding of build pipelines and CI/CD standards across multiple platforms - Experience with performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design - Curiosity about AI-assisted development tools/automation to improve developer efficiency --- **Pay Transparency (Hourly)** Estimated base pay range: **$72.13 – $108.20 USD/hour** Benefits may include **medical, dental, and vision**. --- **Additional Notes** - Background checks are conducted a
