**Software Engineer** **About Bedrock:** We're deploying autonomous systems on heavy construction equipment across the country. Our team includes veterans from Waymo, Segment ($3.2B acquisition), and Uber Freight ($5B revenue). In two years, we've raised $350M and achieved the first fully autonomous excavator deployments. **The Role:** Lead the design and development of core services and infrastructure powering the next generation of autonomous construction equipment. Own fleet management, autonomous task orchestration, and machine coordination systems. **What You'll Do:** • Design, architect, and implement 0-to-1 services for autonomous operations and distributed fleet management • Develop data-intensive services for machine operators to visualize and monitor robotics systems • Partner with full-stack teams (Frontend, ML, Robotics) on technical solutions • Build tooling for autonomous testing, model deployments, and fleet management • Establish core backend frameworks, patterns, and infrastructure **Required:** • 6+ years owning design, architecture, and implementation of complex backend systems • Expertise in high-uptime services: observability, monitoring, performance tuning • Startup experience with rapid prototyping and building from scratch • Ability to design application architectures using modern cloud technologies **Preferred:** • Experience with geospatial tooling (GIS, robotics, construction tech) • Edge infrastructure experience (low-latency SLAs, dynamic bandwidth) • AWS experience **Equal Opportunity Employer:** We consider all qualified applicants without regard to protected characteristics and provide reasonable accommodations.
